Who is Dr. B ?

Dr. Blumenfield is a Board Certified Psychiatrist practicing psychiatry in Woodland Hills, California. He is the Sidney E. Frank Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at New York Medical College. He has authored and edited several books in the field of psychiatry. Dr. Blumenfield is a Past Speaker of the Assembly of the American Psychiatric Association and is currently President Elect of the American Academy of Psychoanalysis and Dynamic Psychiatry. In the past he has written a syndicated weekly column for Gannett newspapers for several years and had a local radio program in addition to a podcast on the Internet. Learn more about Dr. B.
